 Russian Federation and Belarus are quite sensitive for fire safety issues, so a GPN Certificate should be obtained to check fire resistance of some products, whether they evolve toxic gases when burning, etc. Also this certificate should be taken as basis for a GOST-R Certificate if a fire requirement is mentioned in the GOST-R Normative Documents as specified under some GOST-R Certificates.

Building materials that are characterized as flammable (carpet,
wall papers, polymer-based floorings, doors, etc.)
Fire signaling systems and data transmission wires
Fire retardants or inhibitors, fire gates
Fire cabinets and internal accessories
Fire extinguishers
Fire dampers
Power cables bearing a voltage of 220 V or more
Compressor refrigerators
House appliances such as gas furnace, central heating
boiler, water heater operated with LPG or natural gas
Industrial burners, boilers, heat generators, etc.

In order to be GPN Certified, the products
in question are tested at laboratories accredited by
Russian Federation, Ministry of Internal Affairs
according to GOST-R Standards and certified depending on
their resistance and compliance.
