GSEN Certificate is asked for those products that have effect on community health in the frame of the “Law on Protection of Consumer Rights” in Russian Federation as a basis for GOST-R Quality Certificate. Products such as foodstuff consumed by adults and kids, garments, cosmetic products applied topically, materials of food packaging and production equipment, chemical compositions of metals and furniture require GSEN Certificate and this constitutes a basis for GOST-R Quality Certificate.

All foodstuff and drinks that contact with human body
Odors, perfumes, similar cosmetics inhaled or applied to
skin
Garments and some home textiles like sheets and towels
that contact with human body
Machinery and equipment used for food production
Materials used for food packaging
Artificial wooden materials like chipboard and MDF used
for furniture
Toys and all kids-related objects
Home chemicals
Dyes and other chemicals intended for use by humans
Industrial machines (in terms of noise and vibration)
Some products transmitting signals or creating
electromagnetic fields
GSEN Certificate is frequently inquired by the
authorities or consumers at the customs or local depots,
stores or markets of Russian Federation and Belarus.

GSEN Certificate can be issued depending on the technical
specifications of the processes, products or services.
Among them, particularly a GSEN Certificate issued for products
interests the manufacturers whose products are exported to Russian Federation
and Belarus. Product samples are tested according to the applicable
documentation to check their conformity with the standards.
Other types of GSEN Certificate apply for the services and industries
within Russian Federation and Belarus.
GSEN Certificates are issued on Lot-Basis (a single product
consignment) or Mass Production Basis (for 5 years in general).
